Umrah from Dhaka, what the price actually buys, tier by tier

How hotel distance, room sharing, meals, and season move the price, what every legitimate package must include, and when to book for Ramadan.

Umrah pricing from Dhaka confuses people because two packages with the same headline price can be completely different trips. The variables that actually move the number are four: how far your hotel is from the Haram, how many people share the room, whether meals are included, and when you travel. This guide breaks the tiers down so you can compare any operator's quote, including ours, like for like.

What every legitimate package must include

If a quote is missing any of these, it is not cheaper, it is incomplete. Ask what happens at the Makkah hotel desk when the "included" transport does not show up.

The tiers, honestly

Economy (roughly 7 nights). Three-star hotels 400-800 metres from the Haram, quad sharing, meals usually excluded. This is the right choice for able-bodied first-timers; you spend your day at the Haram anyway.

Premium (roughly 10 nights). Five-star hotels within 150-200 metres, double or triple sharing, full board. Worth it for elderly parents and anyone for whom the walk in Makkah heat is a real burden; distance to the Haram is the single biggest comfort variable in the entire trip.

Ramadan packages. The same hotel can cost two to three times its off-peak rate in the last ten nights of Ramadan, and rooms sell out months ahead. If Ramadan matters to you, book at least 3-4 months early and expect the premium.

How room sharing changes the price

Per-person price drops as occupancy rises: quad sharing is the cheapest, then triple, then double, with single occupancy the most expensive. A family of four taking one quad room is the best value in the entire price sheet.

When to book

Questions to ask any operator

  1. Exactly how many metres is each hotel from the Haram, and what is the hotel's name in writing?
  2. Is transport private or shared, and does it include the Makkah-Madinah transfer?
  3. What is and is not included at mealtimes?
  4. Is the guide Bangla-speaking, and is Ziyarat (visits to the historical sites) included?

Smart Eagle publishes all of this per package, with named hotels and distances, on the Hajj & Umrah page. If a detail is not in writing, it is not included.
