The detail.
Bangladeshi passport holders require a visa to enter Malaysia, and the most common option for tourists is the Single Entry E-Visa (Social Visit). It is issued for a single entry only and permits a stay not exceeding 30 days. The visa becomes invalid the moment you enter Malaysia, so it must be used within its validity window for one trip.
Applications are submitted entirely online through the official Malaysian Immigration e-Visa portal. After submission, the Immigration Department typically processes applications within a few working days, though it may take longer if additional documents are requested. On approval, the e-Visa is delivered as a PDF — you must print it on A4 paper to show at the entry checkpoint. The e-Visa is strictly for tourism or social visits and does not permit any work, study, or training in Malaysia, and social-visit stays are generally not extendable.
Separately, every traveller must complete the free Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) online within 3 days before arrival. This is a mandatory entry declaration and is not part of the visa itself. Do I need a job offer first?
Not always. Canada Express Entry and Germany Opportunity Card work without an offer; UK Skilled Worker and Australia 482 require one. We assess which route fits you on the free call.
